This leather is slightly larger lambskin and incredibly fine and beautiful fur so it is perfect for babies and children but of course all other uses such as in sunny environments on benches, all types of chairs, armchairs and as a carpet etc.
These lambskins are completely natural in color, which means that they do not become ugly in sunny environments as many other dyed sheep or lambskins do!

The fur is soft and curly but has a little ripple in the undercoat so it becomes extra soft.
The shade is mostly darker gray with shifts towards medium gray in the glossy wool
The coat is unique in that it is very soft and unlike anything else.

General text about our Viking breed Gute!
The Gute sheep's coat is a rustic and varied "fleece" that reflects the breed's origin as a primitive outdoor sheep. Unlike modern sheep breeds, the Gute sheep has a coat consisting of both coarse guard hairs and soft ground wool, which provides fantastic protection against both wet and cold.
Characteristics of the coat:
  • Appearance: The coat is often shorter and straighter than that of a fur sheep, with abundant mane (collar) and dead hair.
  • Color: There is a wide range of colors, from white and scaly to various shades of gray and sometimes even black.
  • Natural shedding: A unique feature is that the wool often sheds on its own in early summer, meaning they do not need to be shorn in the traditional way, although this is common.
  • Quality: Lambs have super soft wool, while older animals have a coarser, more characterful coat that is highly prized for its fluffiness and warmth retention.
The coat is proof of how well adapted the good sheep is to life outdoors all year round, and this also applies to the use of the fine lambskin sheepskins.
